Unsilencing Black Voices

Cathy Osikoya, Sandrine Ndahiro, Ali Byrne & Enda Bowe as Un-silencing Black Voices will join VISUAL's residency programme and begin an enquiry into the lived experience of the black community in Carlow, specifically the experiences of teenagers and young people.

Sandrine Ndahiro is doing a PHD in African Literature in the University of Limerick and Ally Byrne is a film Maker; both are from Carlow. Catherine Osikoya is studying Architecture and is orginally from Galway. Artist Enda Bowe will collaborate with the group to produce a series of portraits of youths form Carlow.
