Opening Eyes to the Shapes of Silence

A presentation of writing from We Go On, VISUAL's writers group

Saturday, 11th May | 4pm

Admission: Free

An afternoon publicly sharing writing from VISUAL's writer's group We Go On, led by poet Clifton Redmond.
Each week this group come together in the galleries to encounter artworks, this season by Eilis O'Connell, Mona Hatoum and Jane Fogarty exploring themes of displacement, migration and abstraction.

The group journeyed into the imagination through a series of creative writing workshops exploring both the personal and collective relationship with reality by treading the border between the physical and the magical.

When the senses are drunk with overstimulation. When the lines between the real and imagined become blurred. When the ground you’re standing on begins to melt, and physicality starts to pour into an empty cup… You’re ready to begin.
