SING SYNC, A Choir for Everyone, has been bringing people together from across Carlow creating a strong sense of community and fun through the power of singing and singing together. Led by conductor Mary Amond O’Brien, SING SYNC has been meeting at VISUAL on Mondays since October 2023. Now, after months of dedication and practice, the SING SYNC members are ready to showcase their talents in a special public event, joined by renowned Ukranian baritone Maksym Lozovyi.

Audience members will not only have the pleasure of enjoying the performances but will also be invited to add their voice to the chorus. Come and experience the positive impact of singing together!

Maksym Lozovyi lived in the Russian-occupied city of Kherson for 6 months where he was lead vocalist with the Kherson Regional Philarmonic. However his life changed dramatically with the invasion of the Russian army in 2022. After Maksym’s friend and conductor of the Kherson Philharmonic Yuriy Kerpatenko was murdered by Russian soldiers, Maksym decided to leave Ukraine with his family. Currently residing in Carlow, Maksym is contracted for upcoming opera performances of “Faust”, “La Boheme” and “La Traviata” with the Irish National Opera Company.

SING SYNC has been developed by VISUAL Carlow in collaboration with renowned conductor and Carlow natives Mary Amond O’Brien and music professional Ollie Hennessy.

SING SYNC is funded by Carlow County Council and Creative Ireland.
