Transition Year Work Experience Now Open for Applications
Deadline 15th January 2023 |
1 of 10
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at an arts centre?
Would you like to find out more about how galleries and theatres work, to decide if a career in the arts is for you?
Would you like to develop your own public event at VISUAL with a group of peers?
Then apply for VISUAL Collective, VISUAL’s new transition year work experience programme. You will be brought behind the scenes at VISUAL, meet with artists, theatre makers, performers, technicians and more. You will get tickets to live events at VISUAL and become familiar with everything that goes on when doors are open to the public and when we’re closed. Our invited guests (artists, performers, theatre makers, writers etc...) will talk about how they developed their careers in the arts.
You will work as a group to develop a public exhibition and event in April 2022. You will advise us about what future transition years would want from a work experience programme. The event will showcase work you make throughout the programme.
How to Apply
Write to us, or send a video telling us three sentences about yourself and three sentences about why you would like to join the programme. Be as creative as you like!
Make sure to include your full name, school name, email address and phone number.
Send your application to Clare Breen email@example.com before midnight on the 15th of January.
The programme will begin on Friday 3rd February and continue each Friday for 10 weeks.
Weekly sessions will last from 9.00 - 13:00 on Fridays with 30 minutes for break. Please bring your own lunch and wear something you feel comfortable in.
There will be 15 places available on this programme for TY students.
