Open Call for Volunteers

VISUAL Carlow seeks enthusiastic volunteers to join its team!

Volunteers 2018

Are you interested in volunteering with VISUAL? Have you volunteered in the past and are eager to come back?

Who are we looking for?

  • Are you a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic person?
  • Do you have an interest in contemporary arts and theatre?
  • Do you enjoy talking with people and inspiring creative education?
  • Are you available for a minimum of 4 hours per week?

Then we'd love to meet you!

What does a VISUAL Volunteer do?

  • Volunteers at VISUAL assist in delivering a warm welcome to all visitors both to the galleries and theatre. Volunteers help with learning activities in the gallery and exhibition halls and any general operations required.
  • Training and support are provided to all our volunteers so previous experience is not essential. We just ask for a willingness and the ability to commit your time to VISUAL for a minimum of 4 hours per week.
  • A Garda vetting check may be required.

What VISUAL can offer you

  • Be involved in one of Ireland’s leading contemporary art spaces.
  • Help benefit the local community.
  • Meet a diverse group of people with interesting backgrounds.
  • Meet both ‘up and coming’ and established artists.
  • Gain experience in exhibition installations and other aspects of gallery operations.
  • See many of our exhibitions before the general public.
  • Volunteers receive complimentary tickets for you and one guest for selected shows.

Apply now by visiting Box Office during our opening hours to pick up an application form.

VISUAL is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants regardless of age, sexual orientation, neuro diversity, gender, pregnancy, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, medical history, skin colour, marital status, genetic information, or parental status.
