Carlow Mental Health Association - as part of Mensana 2023 - are delighted to offer the opportunity to the public to come along to this unique performance to Carlow.
A Face in the Crowd is a short performance depicting the lives of four individuals who have lived with mental illness. The play takes us through their varied experiences as they navigate through services and make a life for themselves living with their enduring illness.
Carlow Mental Health Association is delighted to sponsor this production by Recover Discover Theatre Productions by offering all transition year students across Co Carlow schools have the opportunity to see this show on Oct 10th ( booking via schools only) and will be followed up by a workshop in each school by mental health professionals who support the students explore the issues addressed in the performance. The objective of this performance is to allow more open discussion and awareness of the symptoms of mental illness and encourage young people to look for help early.
Carlow Mental Health Association are encouraging all parents of students who have seen the performance - and any interested members of the public - to come along to the evening show as an opportunity to share the information with our young people and encourage discussion around this difficult area. There will be an opportunity for post show discussion following the evening performance also.
