Just drop-in to this workshop

Artist Lucy Hill will lead a workshop for 1 – 4 year olds. Children can try on soft sculptures she has made with Orla Langan and play in a sensory way, trying on unusual items and exploring their bodies.

This will be a quiet, relaxed space for adults and their babies and toddlers to hang out, explore materials and relax

Artist Bios:

Lucy Hill

Lucy is a visual artist, arts facilitator, and academic. She was the inaugural Prof. John Coolahan Early Years Artist in Residence at The Ark Cultural Centre for Children in Dublin (2018). She is currently an Assistant Professor of Visual Art Education at DCU. She has won awards for her art practice, including a residency on the artist’s work program at IMMA as well several public art sculpture commissions. Lucy was an associate artist with Helium Arts children’s charity (2020-21), was a Creative Associate with the Arts Council Creative Schools program (2018-2021).

Orla Langan

Orla is a Dublin based fashion designer with a background in international sportswear apparel having designed for brands such as Fila, Puma, Lee Jeans and Sweaty Betty. She has also worked in children’s wear. Orla launched her own collection in 2018: a conscientious distinctive label; merging art, design and street. Garments are custom-made and hand-crafted in Dublin; minimising waste and supporting a circular and ethical approach to fashion creations.
