Sorry, But I Feel Slightly Disidentified... is a provocative and thought-provoking performance piece created by Benjamin Kahn in collaboration with Cherish Menzo, a Dutch performer and choreographer of Surinamese descent.

Menzo’s body serves as a canvas for exploring themes of race, gender and status: layer after layer, the performer unfolds and metamorphoses, challenging our preconceived notions and biases.

As the viewer grapples with a complex mix of emotions and ideas, including empathy and surprise, eroticism and exoticization, the piece asks us to reflect on how identities are constructed and the impact that cultural expectations can have on our understanding of ourselves and others.

This is a must-see for anyone interested in the intersection of art, culture, and equality.

Contains partial, non-explicit nudity and includes the use of strobe lights.

Suitable for ages 16+

With the support of Wallonie-Bruxelles International and the French Embassy in Ireland.
