One Night. Three Comedy Giants. Endless Laughs.

This Christmas, Jinglefest delivers one of the standout entertainment events of the season with The Big Comedy Gala Night, an unforgettable evening featuring three of Ireland's most celebrated comedy performers.

Join us at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, Carlow, on Friday, 4th December at 8pm for a blockbuster night of razor-sharp stand-up, hilarious storytelling and non-stop laughs.

Whether you're planning a festive night out with friends, a Christmas gathering with colleagues, or simply love great live comedy, this is the comedy event you cannot afford to miss.

Headliner: Ardal O'Hanlon

Few comedians are as instantly recognisable or as universally loved as Ardal O'Hanlon.

From his iconic role as the endlessly lovable Father Dougal in Father Ted to starring roles in Death in Paradise and Derry Girls, Ardal has entertained audiences around the world for decades. A founding figure of Ireland's modern comedy scene, his unique blend of wit, intelligence and wonderfully offbeat observations has made him one of the country's most respected stand-up comedians.

Having appeared on some of the world's biggest stages and television shows, including Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster, The Graham Norton Show and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Ardal brings world-class comedy to Carlow for one special night.

Expect brilliantly crafted stand-up, surreal observations and the kind of laughter that only a true comedy master can deliver.

Hosted by Sharon Mannion

Guiding the evening and keeping the laughs flowing is the incomparable Sharon Mannion.

A powerhouse performer, writer and comedian, Sharon is renowned for her hugely successful show Middle Rage, her role in Bridget & Eamon, and her years as resident host of Dublin's legendary Comedy Cellar.

Warm, quick-witted and effortlessly funny, Sharon has shared stages with some of the biggest names in comedy and has become one of Ireland's most popular live performers. Her infectious energy ensures the perfect festive atmosphere from start to finish.

Special Guest: Colm O'Regan

Award-winning comedian, broadcaster, author and creator of the hugely successful Irish Mammies phenomenon, Colm O'Regan brings his trademark blend of clever observations and uniquely Irish humour to The Big Comedy Gala.

A familiar face from television, radio and comedy festivals across Ireland and beyond, Colm is a master storyteller whose relatable take on modern Irish life consistently leaves audiences in stitches.

Sharp, insightful and brilliantly funny, he's the perfect addition to a stellar line-up.

Tickets are expected to be in high demand, so book early and be part of one of the highlights of the Jinglefest 2026 programme.
