VISUAL is delighted to present Cement and Sacraments: Perspectives on Architectural Obsolescence and the case of the West Finglas Church, by architectural and cultural historian Ellen Rowley.
Rowley’s talk is presented as part of Mediating a Rupture, an event in response to Fiona Hallinan’s exhibition We Turn Towards An Ending and Pay Attention, currently on show in VISUAL.
Cement and Sacraments will be presented in VISUAL’s Theatre followed by a Q and A session. Hallinan’s film on the demolition of the Church of the Annunciation, Making Dust, will be available to view in the Main Gallery at approximately 4:10pm (running time 45:03)
Tea and coffee will be available.
