Screenwriter Adam lives alone in a near-empty tower block. His secluded life is interrupted by an unexpected reunion with his parents - both of whom died decades earlier. Back at the tower block, he meets a neighbour Harry, and they begin a passionate romantic relationship. Adam’s past, present and imagined lives intertwine as his grip on reality loosens.

Irish stars Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal have won deserved plaudits for their emotionally candid performances in the latest feature from Andrew Haigh (Weekend, 45 Years). Based on Taichi Yamada’s acclaimed novel Strangers, All of Us Strangers is a ghost story with a difference. This is a deeply moving film about lost souls seeking solace, with Haigh’s storytelling both heartbreaking and romantic.

Director: Andrew Haigh
