VISUAL's 15th Birthday Celebrations, Autumn Winter Season Launch and The BIG SING and Guests on Culture Night

Book Tickets for THE BIG SINGJoin us as VISUAL celebrates its 15th birthday, and the opening of a new season of art, music, theatre, cinema, and more on Culture Night, Friday 20th September from 7.30pm until late.
This season of exhibitions at VISUAL includes 'Quietly Dispelling the Dark', in which author Colm Tóibín selects from the Arts Council Collection and solo exhibitions 'Asterisms' by Amie Siegel and 'Sincere, or what you will' by Christopher Mahon. The Lobby Gallery hosts an interactive all-ages exhibition, 'A Story Without Words'.
The Autumn Winter Season will be launched by Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council Fergal Browne, with addresses by VISUAL Chairperson Kathleen Holohan, VISUAL CEO & Artistic Director Emma Lucy O’Brien and author Colm Tóibín.
Come together at 9pm for THE BIG SING with special guest appearances from members of the Dublin Gospel Choir. In this large-scale choral event, the people of Carlow and beyond are invited to learn and perform John Farnham’s anthem, "You're the Voice", conducted by Mary Amond O’Brien.
Christopher Mahon’s exhibition will host an intimate bar conceived by the artist, with drinks, music and more.
On the night, refreshments will be served from 7.30pm by Lennons @ VISUAL and Carlow Brewing Company and music and entertainment runs to 11.30pm.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Booking is required for THE BIG SING only.
