Once upon a time in the kingdom of Barrowvale, two siblings Kai and Gerda live with their Nanny, The owner of the local tavern. All is well in the kingdom, until the jealous Goblin Queen decides to forge a mirror that shows the ugliness in everything. As the mirror shatters, the whole kingdom becomes frozen from its glass, and young Kai gets a shard of the icy glass into his heart.

The only person that can help to thaw the ice in Kai's heart, is the snow queen herself. She has long left the kingdom as she feared that her powers were too dangerous for its beloved inhabitants, and had not been seen by many since.

To help Kai, Nannny Frostbit and Gerda enlist the help of the Snow Queen's sister and her companions. And so, Gerda's quest begins an adventurous journey from Barrowvale to the frozen North Mountain, passing through the land, encountering a host of colourful characters on the way, including our resident comedy duo! If successful, they seek the Snow Queen to help them to thaw Kai's heart, but the snaky and envious Goblin Queen is never too far away...
