Silver House presents a narrativity and a cinematic conception of a space configured between a woman, Eilish Lavelle, whose voice we hear, and her architectural vision for her home in Goleen, West Cork.
This work features a collaboration with composer Susan Stenger who has incorporated the sounds of the West Cork landscape and the house where the work was filmed to create a new audio composition.
Gannon’s new works oscillate between drawing, sculpture and painting. Accompanying the video work will be an abstract drawing on linen. Gannon describes these works as “sculptural drawings” or “performative drawings”, suggesting both their raw physicality and directness.
