The Council of All Beings Workshop & Riverine Screening

Join ecologist Laura Kehoe and the Council of All Beings for a two-hour creative workshop exploring what we can learn when we step outside our human perspective and listen to the voice of the waters, the trees, the winds and the birds.

This interactive workshop invites participants to connect with riparian being - fauna, flora, fungi, lake or river - through guided meditation, mask-making, and embodiment. Participants will be invited to give their chosen being a face, shape, feeling and voice, before gathering in a Council to share their insights about their homes and how human actions can impact them. The workshop concludes by gifting these learnings back to the two-legged human world, for participants to apply as they return to their human lives.

We will then enjoy the captivating film ‘Riverine’ by acclaimed filmmaker Alan Gilsenan, celebrating the diverse communities of the Dargle River Basin - including a specially commissioned meditation on rivers by the acclaimed writer Kerri ní Dochartaigh. To attend the film screening only, please book here.

Join us for a unique evening of Becoming Riverine.

Brought to you by the Shaking Bog and funded by LAWPRO.
