The Ballet Barn students and teachers are thrilled to be returning to the Visual in April 2023 with The Little Mermaid.
Our version of The Little Mermaid was written by Hans Christian Anderson for his good friend August Bournonville to choreograph as a ballet and we are thrilled to share it with the audience!
The second half of the show will include The Secret Garden and a whole range of Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Modern Theatre dances for you to enjoy.
Choreography for the show is created by our highly qualified teachers: Aedeen O'Hagan, Adele Mealey, Lauren Oman, Niamh Callinan Keenan and Méadhbh O'Sullivan. Additionally, there are a number of pieces choreographed by our very talented students!
As always there will be wonderful dancing, great music and colourful costumes along with superb visual effects and projections by Colm of Carlow Digital. For the past 30 years, students from the Ballet Barn have been entertaining audiences with our family friendly shows - we are incredibly excited to return once again to the wonderful George Bernard Shaw Theatre.
