In this reimagined version, Kansas is swapped for Christmastime in Carlow, where Dorothy Gale lives a quiet life on a farm… until a wild storm sweeps her away, turning life upside down in the blink of an eye! Landing in the colourful and chaotic Land of Oz, and with the help of the kind and magical Glinda the Good, Dorothy sets off on a journey to the Emerald City in a bid find her way home. Meanwhile, Aunt Em is hot on her trail, causing havoc, taking no nonsense, and searching every corner of Oz to find her niece, and a new pair of ruby high heels!

 

Along the Yellow Brick Road, Dorothy meets a brainless Scarecrow, a heartless Tin Man, and a not-so-brave Lion, each hoping the great Wizard can grant their wishes. Signposting the way to Oz for the audience is our charming resident storyteller, bringing a fresh Carlow twist to the much-loved story. However - danger lurks in the shadows… as the dastardly Wicked Witch of the West/South East plots to stop them, aided by her bickering, bungling pair of flying monkeys who seem to create more problems than they solve.
