Úlla Búlla concert with Ríona Sally Hartman & band
The Úlla Búlla Band plays brand-new children’s music that’s fun, creative and interactive
Úlla Búlla is an album of original children’s music in English and Irish by Ríona Sally Hartman.
For Samhain Festival 2026 at VISUAL, The Úlla Búlla Band plays brand-new children’s music that’s fun, creative and interactive. This show is designed to introduce children (and their grown-ups) to the magic of improvisation, grá for gaeilge and the world of jazz. You’ll be singing and moving along with the band, setting off musical fireworks and making monster melodies.
This is a bi-lingual show with songs in both English and Irish, there's no need to speak any Irish to fully enjoy the show and participate.
Ríona Sally Hartman is a musician who makes music with, and for, children. She has over a decade’s worth of experience creating engaging, educational and fun live music shows for children that consistently sell out.
She is musical director of The National Concert halls Echo Band, and has worked with the NCH to create shows specifically for neurodivergent audiences (Soundscapes commissioned by the National Concert Hall in 2025) and Special Schools. Ríona works regularly with organisations such as The Improvised Music Company, The Ark children’s arts centre, as well as various local authorities. From time to time she writes music for children’s TV such as Bígí ag Ceol (RTÉ), and Maddie and Triggs (RTÉ, BBC). Her work focuses on child lead, inclusive, process driven, neuroaffirmative music making.
