The classic 1963 wartime adventure depicts a fictionalised version of a real mass escape of British POWs from a German camp during World War II. With a cast lead by Steve McQueen and featuring some of the most esteemed actors of the era, The Great Escape remains a thrilling watch-from the meticulous planning to the risky, high-stakes escape itself. Its famous motorbike chase, meanwhile, remains one of cinema’s most iconic action sequences.
