Carlow Little Theatre Society return to the stage of the George Bernard Shaw theatre this coming May with Michael Frayn's classic farce Noises Off.

This play-within-a-play captures a manic menagerie of actors touring their production of Nothing On in three stages: the dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance towards the end of a debilitating run. Frayne gives us a window into the inner workings of theatre from behind the scenes, progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance. Brimming with slapstick comedy, Noises Off is a delightful backstage farce, complete with slamming doors, falling trousers, and, of course, flying sardines!

Noises Off will be directed by veteran actor and director Paddy Behan and is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
