MAKING NOISE; Our Climate, Our Voice
A project celebrating young people with additional needs and their voices within the public debate around climate change and action.
September 2021 - May 2022 |
VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Arts and the GB Shaw Theatre is partnering with St Laserian’s Special School in Carlow, KCAT Arts Centre/Equinox Theatre Company and Run of the Mill Theatre Company to deliver this unique arts programme for young people with disabilities.
This project uses live art and performance to explore Climate Change and Action. The aim of this programme is to break down the barriers that young people with disabilities face when it comes to taking part and being recognised in the public debate around climate change by using art as a medium by which to give voice to those who may feel voiceless.
Following a series of weekly workshops in St Laserian’s school exploring and developing their ideas, the students will present the final work at VISUAL.
