This fun and hands-on series is perfect for young artists eager to explore new techniques and self-expression:

Session 1: Collage Sculpture (Sept 28th, 3-6pm)

Inspired by Asterisms, Amie Siegel's video installation on display in the Main Gallery, students will create their own 3D collage sculptures using mixed media and personal creativity.

Session 2: Neon Lanterns (Oct 19th, 3-6pm)

In the spirit of spooky season and drawing from Siegel's chromogenic colour prints on display in the Digital Gallery, we'll make glowing leaf-print paper lanterns using neon colours to light up the darkness of Autumn.

Session 3: Dark Abstraction (Nov 23rd, 3-6pm)

We'll explore the theme of ‘Dark Abstraction’ through a collaborative group project. Using black paint as a foundation, students will bring colour and life from the darkness, creating a collective artwork.

Session 4: New Year, New Vision (Jan 11th, 3-6pm)

As we step into the new year, this session will embrace fresh ideas and a new vision. Inspired by creativity gathered throughout the series, the final project will be a surprise that reflects the energy of brighter beginnings.
