VISUAL Carlow is hosting a collaboration between The Lir Academy and the Abbey Theatre aiming to introduce young women to careers in lighting, sound and stage management.

Women in Technical Theatre

The purpose of the roadshow is to engage female pupils from post-primary schools throughout gain an insight into technical theatre, stage management and the importance these play in live performances today.

The workshop is designed and overseen by industry professionals who lead technical departments at The Lir Academy.

The performance aspect of the workshop will be led by an Abbey Theatre drama facilitator with experience of working with young people.

These workshops are ideally suited to TY students. 2 workshops will be facilitated on the 20^th November @ 10am or 1pm here in VISUAL Carlow.
